DHAKA: President M Abdul Hamid urged all to move forward for the overall welfare for the children, nation’s future leaders.
He also urged to make the new generation science and culture minded, patriot and non-communal with achieving the qualities of a good citizen.
The president made the remarks while addressing the inaugural session of two-day long “National Conference-2015” organized by Khelaghar Asor (KA) at Jatiya Natyashala of city’s Shilpakala Academy on Friday.
Hamid told the audience that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman once said ‘Golden people are necessary to build the golden Bangla’ and he (Bangabandhu) also elaborated that honest, competent, and meritorious persons are the golden people.
The president hoped that new generation will make themselves as good citizens with their knowledge, well behavior and positive thoughts and activities.
Earlier, the president inaugurated the conference titled “Build New Generation with Sprit of Liberation War” releasing balloon and pigeons.
Bangla Academy Director General Shamsuzzaman Khan, and Khelaghar Asor general secretary Abdul Matin Bhauyan, among others, were present at the function chaired by presidium chairperson of Khelaghar Asor central committee professor Panna Kaiser.
