SAVAR: Two people, including a woman, were killed and two children were injured in separate road accidents in the upazila on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Beauty Akhter and Mizanur Rahman, a labourer.

Witnesses said a rashly driven truck knocked a rickshaw at Kalma Bus Stand area of the upazila at noon, leaving the rickshaw passenger Beauty Akhter dead on the spot and three others, including two children, injured.

The injured were rushed to a local clinic from where one of the children was transferred to Enam Medical Hospital.

Savar Model Thana police filed a case regarding the accident.

Meanwhile, a rashly driven passenger-bus knocked labourer Mizanur Rahman on Nabinagar-Chandra highway at Nabi Textile area in the morning, leaving his dead on the spot.
