FROM KAMALAPUR STATION: The schedules of train services have collapsed due to the countrywide blockade called by BNP that caused immense sufferings to passengers.

Even, the Kamalapur rail station manager cannot answer the queries of the train passengers regarding the schedule.

Though, the train schedules have been shown in the LED monitor of the station but it was far away from the reality.

Other software, Vehicle Tracking System (VTS), has also remained inactive in these days adding more suffering to the passengers.

During the visit in Kamalapur Railway Station on Sunday, banglanews correspondent saw that most of the train schedules have been delayed for a long time and the passengers were waiting anxiously.

Kamalapur Station Manager Sitangshu Chakrabarti told banglanews that all the scheduled trains have left the station with a long delay.

Moreover, for the passengers’ security the speed of trains has reduced that causes mismanagement in train schedules.

Station sources said Khulna-bound Sundaban Express, Chittagong-bound Mahanagar Prabhati and Rangpur-bound Rangpur Express did not start in the evening whereas they were scheduled for morning.

However, there was no sign of Mymensingh-bound Isha Khan Express, Noakhali-bound Upakul, Ishwardi -bound Sirajganj Express, Bangabadhu Bridge-bound Sirahganj Express.

Some thousands of passengers were waiting in the station to go to Comilla, Feni, Chittagong, Khulna, Kushtia, Lalmonirhat, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dinajpur, Sylhet, Mymensingh, Brahmanbaria and other districts.
