Fog envelops city, disrupts normal life

DHAKA: The bone-chilling cold coupled with dense fog has been disrupting normal life and mass-transport services in the city and the rest of the country early Wednesday.

On the other hand, the mild cold wave, which is sweeping across the city from Monday evening, causes miseries to the common people, sources told banglanews.

People, who came out of home early in the morning for their work stations, suffered the most.

Banglanews Team has witnessed the same scenario in city’s Jurain, Dholaipar, Jatrabari, Sayedabad, Kamalapur, Malibagh, Rampura, Badda, Gulshan and Baridhara areas.

Regarding the situation, rickshaw driver Mohammad Solaiman Miah said that he, who used to came out of home at dawn, steps for work after 7:30am on the day.

Nevertheless, Al Amin, a driver of a Turag Paribahan bus, said that the due to cold weather, number of commuters has been decreased on the streets for last couple of days.
