DHAKA: A female apparel worker was killed when a bus knocked her from behind in front of Purabi Cinema Hall in city’s Mirpur area on Thursday morning.

The deceased was identified as Nargis Akter, 19.

Fellow worker Taslima told banglanews that she along with Nargis and others was going to office from Kalshi on foot in the morning. On arrival in front of the cinema hall, a bus hit Nargis from behind, leaving her critically injured.

She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where on-duty doctor declared her dead around 8:00am.
