RAJSHAHI: At least three people were injured as miscreants hurled a petrol bomb and eight to ten crude bombs aiming goods laden-trucks that were moving under police and BGB protection in the district on Thursday noon.

Of the injured, two were admitted to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital.

Quoting witnesses Inspector of Boalia Model Thana Mahmudur Rahman told banglanews that a gang of masked miscreants blasted a petrol bomb and 8/10 crude bombs aiming goods-laden trucks from Barnali intersection to Kadirganj Darikhorbona intersection in the town.

They also vandalized a tea stall and set fire to a chair of barber’s shop, he added.

The miscreants, however, managed to flee the scene before the BGB and law enforcing agency personnel reached.

Inspector Mahmudur Rahman further said police has been conducting a drive in the area to detain the miscreants.
