DHAKA: Armed Police Battalion (APBn) on Friday detained two Biman Bangladesh Airlines officials with gold and money from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital.

The detainees were identified as Biman’s accountant supervisors Manzur Morshed and Mizanur Rahman.

APBn assistant commissioner Tanzina Akhter told banglanews that acting on tip-off, the law enforcing unit detained the two national carrier officials and recovered four gold bars each weighing 116.5-gms and Tk 48,000 from them.

The two officials were interrogated after the detention, Tanzina added.
