NOAKHALI: Miscreants, in separate incidents, vandalized 14 CNG-run auto-rickshaws and five goods-laden trucks at Chomirmunsir Hat and Sebarhat Bazar areas under Senbagh upazila of the district.

They also blasted 12 cocktails to spread panic among people.

Witnesses said miscreants blasted several cocktails at Sebarhat Bazar area and vandalized eight CNG-run auto-rickshaws and three goods-laden trucks in the afternoon when the number of traffic plying increased despite the blockade called by BNP-led 20-party.

On information, police rushed the spot and detained three Chhatra Shibir leaders from the spot.

Meanwhile, the blockade supporters blasted cocktails at Chomirmunsir Hat and vandalized six CNG-run auto-rickshaws and two goods-laden trucks in the evening.

Officer-in-Charge of Senbagh Thana Mominul Islam told banglanews that the situation is under control now.
