CHANDINA, COMILLA: Two persons were killed and five others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Khadghor area under Chandina upazila on Sunday morning.

The deceased were identified as Billal Hossain, 25, son of Abdur Razzak and Shahin, 24, son of Mofizul Islam, residents of Dariyapur village of the upazila.

Witnesses said that a CNG-run auto-rickshaw, carrying workers of Bhakhrabad Gas Field, collided head on with a covered van in the area, leaving the casualties.

The injured were rushed to Eastern Medical College Hospital.

Sergeant of Iliotganj Highway police outpost Asad confirmed the matter to banglanews.
