DHAKA: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) declared Tk one lakh reward for help in arresting anarchists.

DMP commissioner Md Asaduzzaman Mia made the disclosure in a press briefing at DMP media center on Monday noon.

Asaduzzaman said, “Vandalism, arson in the name of hartal-blockade is terrorist activities. No instigator will be spared.”

At that time, he announced Tk one lakh reward if anyone helps to arrest those who vandalize and torch vehicles, Tk 50,000 reward for helping to arrest cocktail and petrol bomb attackers and Tk 25,000 reward for information leading to arrest explosives stockers.

DMP commissioner also said five people were killed, 83 injured or burnt while 120 vehicles torched and 12 vandalized from January 5.

In reply to a query whether BNP chief Khaleda Zia will be arrested for instigating Jatrabari petrol bomb attack, the commissioner said action will be taken against anyone if proper evidences found.
