DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered to take immediate actions in implementing Mymensingh as a new administrative division.

Besides, she asked authorities concerned to adopt necessary steps to establish Faridpur and Comilla-Noakhali as new divisions of the country.

The premier passed the order in a cabinet meeting in city on Monday.

Currently, there are seven administrative divisions in the country. They are -- Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Barisal and Sylhet.
