DHAKA: Director General of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Benazir Ahmed on Saturday said the anarchists would be uprooted soon and reinstated peace and tranquility in the country. 

The top official of the elite force came up with the assertion at a press conference in city’s Gulistan area on Monday.

He also demanded that the violence and terrorism in the country has been lessened comparably the previous time.

Seeking people’s help to contain violence, the RAB boss said the overall situation of the country is under control. However, some isolated incidents are being taken place in the country but it would be controlled soon with the help of people.

He also said the commoners have already responded to our call and started raising their voice against violence and terrorism. 

Benazir Ahmed also said, “We will control the anarchists for the sake of peace-loving countrymen.” 

He added: “We will reestablish peace in the country through uprooting the godfathers of the terrorism from the society.” However, all necessary steps would be taken against those involved in violence, he forewarned.

Benazir Ahmed said the subversive activities would be foiled amid the tight security measures. “It is now just a matter of time,” he said.
