DHAKA: A young man committed suicide jumping from a 10-storey building in Senpara Parbat area of city’s Mirpur on Monday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as M Amanullah Chowdhury Sobuj, 22, student of Mirpur Ideal Institute of Science and Technology and son of M Shahidullah of Amtali village under Narsingdi district.

Deceased fellow Fazlul Haque said he might have committed suicide centering family feud over his love affair.

Medical police outpost assistant sub-inspector Sentu Chandra confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said locals rushed Sabuj to Al Helal Hospital and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where on duty doctors declared him dead around 5:20pm.
