DHAKA: A jet of Malaysia Airlines, carrying the body of Arafat Rahman Koko, younger son of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and former President Ziaur Rahman, will arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11:40am Tuesday.
Koko’s wife Sayed Sharmila Rahman, his two daughters Zahia Rahman and Zafia Rahman and younger brother of Khaleda Zia Shamim Iskander will bring the body.
Besides, BNP leaders including BNP chairperson’s adviser Mosaddek Ali Falu, Malaysia BNP leader Mohammad Shahid Ullah Shahid, Mahbub Alam Shah, Mohammad Talha Mahmud, Mohammad Nasir Uddin and Mohammad Minhaz also will accompany them.
BNP chief on Monday gave the authority to party vice-chairmen Chowdhury Kamal Ibne Yusuf and Abdullah Al Noman and international affairs secretary Gias Qader Chowdhury and standing committee members Dr Abdul Moin Khan and Nazrul Islam Khan to receive the body at airport.
BNP chairperson’s press wing official Shayrul Kabir Khan on Monday confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Meanwhile, our Malaysia correspondent Kaiser Hamid Hannan reported that the flight, carrying Koko’s body, left Kuala Lumpur at 9:40am Malaysia time (7:40am Bangladesh time).
Arafat Rahman Koko died in a heart attack in Malaysia on January 24.
