FENI: A construction worker sustained burn injuries as blockaders hurled petrol bomb at a CNG-run Auto-rickshaw in Kalipal area of the district town on Wednesday night.

The injured Naoshad, 40, was sent to burn unit at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.

Witnesses said the victim was returning home by the CNG-run Auto-rickshaw after finishing work in Dakbanglow area of Sonagazi upzila around 10:00pm. When the vehicle reached at Kalipal, it came under petrol bomb attack that burnt to Naoshad’s face, hand and other parts of his body.

On information, police rushed in and sent him to Feni Sadar Hospital. After giving first aid, he was sent to Dhaka for better treatment.

Confirming the matter, Feni thana Officer-in-Charge M Mahbub Morshed told banglanews that police is trying to nab the arsonists.
