BENAPOLE (JESSORE): Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive arrested nine people, including two women, from Putkhali border under Benapole Port Thana of the district on Thursday afternoon while they were trying to go to India illegally.

The arrestees were handed over to Benapole Port Police Station and a case was filed against them in this connection.

Police sources said that a patrol team of BGB arrested them when they were crossing the border without any valid documents.

Benapole Port Police Station Officer-in-Charge Apurba Hasan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
