DHAKA: Blockade and hartal supporters allegedly torched a bus in Dholaikal area of Postogola in the city on Thursday night amid the 24-hour shutdown enforced by BNP-led 20-party alliance in Dhaka and eight neighboring districts.

Fire Service and Civil Defense duty officer Saidul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Saidul said miscreants set fire to a passenger bus of Dholeshwar Paribanhan around 9:15pm. On information, a fire service unit rushed in and doused the flame.

None sustained injuries as all passengers managed to get down from the bus, added the officer.
