NARAYANGANJ: Three people were killed including a kid in road accident in Fatullah’s Bhuinagar area of the sadar upazila Friday evening.

Two of the deceased were identified as Oliuddin, 37, and his daughter Sumaiya, 7. They lived in Iskatan area of Dhaka.

Quoting witnesses sub-inspector Swapan Kumar Das of Fatullah Model Thana said a speedy Dhaka-bound truck from opposite direction ran over a battery-run auto rickshaw in the area around 7:00pm, leaving  Oliuddin, Sumaiya, her mother and auto rickshaw driver severely injured.

They were whisked off to the Narayanganj 300-bed Hospital but Sumaiya and the driver died on the way.

Later, Oliuddin died on the way to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, the SI added.
