RANGPUR: The roof of an under construction mosque has been collapsed in Alamnagar area of the district Sunday noon.

Ful Miah, a construction worker, told banglanews that two pillars of the building collapsed while molding its ceiling at around 1:15pm.

The fire service units rescued six people from the debris with the help of locals. However, they said that 10-12 people still under the collapsed building.

The rescued people were taken to the Rangpur Medical College and Hospital.

The reason of the collapse could not be known immediately.
