DHAKA: Bangladesh Railway (BR) on Sunday announced Tk 100,000 reward for assisting in arresting anarchists who carry out sabotage in railway.

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) today announced Tk 10,000 to Tk 1 lakh reward for helping the elite force in arresting anarchists to contain political violence.

Railway Minister Mujibul Haque made the disclosure Sunday noon while talking to reporters at the Rail Bhaban after attending an inter-ministerial meeting.

He said, “Railway, the government property, has been being the target of vandalism, arson since the starting of blockade.”

“But, from now on, no instigator will be spared,” he added saying “We will also reward the information provider about arsonists.”

Later, the minister announced Tk 100,000 reward if anyone helps directly detaining those who vandalize and torch railway properties.

He also added that his ministry has already taken all necessary steps to make travels and carrying goods through railway safe and secure.
