DHAKA: Visiting Bhutanese home and cultural affairs minister Damchoe Dorji met Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali at his secretariat office on Monday.

Dorji expressed his gratitude and thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for providing land to Bhutan embassy in Dhaka.

The ministers discussed on bilateral relations, ways of strengthening economic ties including trade and commerce, connectivity, regional and sub-regional cooperation, hydropower, people to people contact and the issue of cultural exchange.

Mahmood Ali said many Bhutanese students are coming to Bangladesh for the purpose of education in several medical colleges here.

However, Dorji invited Mahmood Ali to visit Bhutan.

On the other hand, the foreign minister also assured Bhutan for further cooperation in future.
