DHAKA: Blockaders exploded several cocktails and torched a passenger bus in separate places in the capital on Tuesday morning.

Tuesday is the 29th straight day of road-water-railway blockade for indefinite period enforced by BNP-led 20-party alliance.

Blockaders torched a passenger bus of Procesta Paribahan at Malibagh Chowdhurypara at around 7:15, leaving a person injured.

Fire Service and Civil Defense Head Quarters’ control room Bhojon Kumar Sarkar confirmed the fire incident to banglanews.

The injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.

On the other hand, activists of Islami Chattra Shibir, students’ wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, brought out a brisk precession on Pragati Sarani in Shahjagpur area. They also blockaded the road by setting fire and exploding 10 cocktails there.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Gulshan Thana Officer-In-Charge Firoz Kabir said, on information, police rushed in and cleared the road, dispersing the Shibir men.

No causality and detention was reported.
