CHITTAGONG: A driver of a covered-van and its helper were killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Mirsarai upazila of the district Tuesday morning.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Zorarganj Highway Police Outpost in-charge Mehedi Hasan told banglanews that a Chittagong-bound covered van hit a wayside tree while trying to overtake another lorry at Jamaler Dokan area of the upazila, leaving both driver and helper dead on the spot.
