FENI: A covered van helper sustained critical burn injuries when blockaders hurled a petrol bomb at the vehicle on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Rampur area of the district on Friday.

Police sources said that a Chittagong-bound covered van from the capital came under the petrol bomb attack in the area around 10:30am.

Fire spread on the vehicle immediately after being hit by the petrol bomb, leaving the helper severely burnt.

Locals rushed him to Feni Sadar Hospital and then transferred to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Feni Model Thana Officer-in-Charge Mahbub Morshed confirmed the matter to banglanews.
