FENI: At least 11 people suffered burns and 25 others received other injuries when miscreants hurled petrol bombs at a bus in Daganbhuiyan Upazila of the district on Tuesday night.

Witnesses said 36 reports of casualties took place in Ameergaon area around 9:30pm when a Bashurhat-bound passenger bus of Kabir Haat Express was set ablaze presumably by blockade and hartal supporters.

The burn-victims were undergoing treatment at the district Sadar Hospital. Doctors referred three critically injured to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.

Dr. Ashikur Rahman of Daganbhuiyan Health Complex and resident medical officer (RMO) Asim Kumar Saha of the Sadar Hospital separately confirmed the matter to banglanews.
