MYMENSINGH: An SSC (Secondary School Certificate) examinee was electrocuted in Nayanpur area under Bhaluka upazila of the district on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Tareq, 16, son of Aminul Islam, an examinee from Shaheed Nazimuddin High School of the area.

Locals said that Tareq came into contact with live electric wire while he was watering a vegetable field adjacent to his house around 10:00am, leaving him critically injured.

However, he was stormed to Bhaluka upazila health complex where on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Bhaluka Model Thana Officer-in-Charge Golam Sarwar confirmed the matter to banglanews.
