DHAKA: Government has appointed Syed Aminul Islam, director of National Legal Aid Services Organisation (NLASO) and also a joint secretary of law ministry, as Supreme Court (SC) new Registrar.

The law ministry issued a gazette notification Thursday noon in the regard.

However, Supreme Court ex-Registrar M Farid Ahmed Shibli took oath as Additional Judge of High Court (HC).

Earlier on February 2, Shibli was appointed as Registrar who also served as secretary in Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission.

Along with ex-Registrar Shibli, ten newly-appointed additional judges of the High Court took oath in the morning.
