Deputy secy Kamril Alam suspended

DHAKA: The government suspended the Deputy Secretary of Department of Disaster Management (DDM) M Kamrul Alam after a corruption case in Sunamganj.

An order was issued signed by senior secretary of public administration ministry Kamal Abdul Naser to this effect on Thursday.

The order said M Kamrul Alam was suspended as a case was filed against him with Sunamganj Sadar Thana for his alleged corruption when he was ADC of the district.

However, he will get his due allowances as per civil service rules, it added.
