DHAKA: A bus helper was burnt badly as alleged pro-blockaders blasted a petrol bomb at a passenger bus in city’s Banasree area Thursday night.

The bus helper, Bappi, 25, son of one Dulal Mia, hailed from Mohonganj Thana of Netrokona district, sustained severe burn injuries in the arson attack that took place around 7:30pm.

Victim Bappi told banglanews that a group of blockade supporters hurled a petrol bomb which hit him directly before entering the bus, leaving him injured critically.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.

On duty doctors told banglanews that at least 70 percent of Bappi’s body has burnt in the incident.
