LAXMIPUR: Three listed criminals received bullet injuries while three other police personnel were injured in a gunfight with police on Chandraganj-Chatkhil road in the district on early Friday.

The injured criminals are--- Mohammad Shahid, Imam Hossain and Sohel.

Police sources said that a team of police was patrolling in the area around 12:00am.

At one stage, sensing the presence of the law enforcers, the miscreants opened fire on them, prompting the law enforcers to fire back, triggering a gunfight that left three miscreants injured with bullet.

Three police personnel were also injured in the incident.

Police recovered two firearms and four rounds of bullets from their procession.

However, the injured anarchists were sent to Laxmipur Sadar Hospital.

Chandraganj Thana Officer-in-Charge Humayan Kabir confirmed the matter to banglanews.
