NATORE: Two farmers were killed and three others injured in Singra area of Natore-Bogra highway Thursday when a passenger bus and a truck collided head on, police said.

The deceased were identified as Belal, 47, and Shardul, 25.

The injured were Shahidul, another farmer, and two passengers named Sajedul, 30, and Atique, 25.

They were rushed to the Natore Sadar Hospital.

Local people put a roadblock on the highway, which was later controlled, Nitai Chandra, sub-inspector of Singra Thana, said.
