DHAKA: Armed Police Battalion (APBn) personnel detained two people with 695 grams gold and Tk 93, 000 at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday night.

The detainees were identified as M Anwar Hossain and Parvez.

APBn sources said Anwar landed at the airport by a flight of Tiger Airlines (TR-2659) around 10:30pm.

He was handing over the gold to another person outside the airport. Lawpersons caught both of them red handed there and seized the gold and cash.

APBn media officer Tanjina Akhter confirmed the matter to banglanews.
