DHAKA: The body of Aminul Haque Badsha, former press secretary to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, will arrive in Dhaka from London on Sunday.
Badsha’s younger brother Quamrul Haque Shamim told banglanews that the body would arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 12:00 noon.
The body is expected to be taken to Central Shaheed Minar where people of all walks of life will pay their tribute to the Liberation War hero.
Later, his body will be taken to Baitul Mukarram National Mosque for namaz-e-janaza.
Quamrul also said Badsha’s body will be kept on the National Press Club premises at 10:00am on Monday so that the journalists can pay homage.
Later, he will be buried at his family graveyard beside his mother at Courtpara in Kushtia.
On February 13, Badsha’s first namaz-e-janaza was held at Brick Lane Jamme Masjid in East London.
After the prayer, a group of freedom fighters led by Khalil Kazi turned out to have a last glimpse and paid their respect to the deceased in London.
They also officially saluted to the great freedom fighter there.
Aminul Haque Badsh, former Organizing Secretary of central Chhatra League, a journalist, freedom fighter and also Bangabandhu’s press secretary, breathed last at Orpington Hospital in Greater London at 5:30am on February 10.
He was 71 and survived with wife and a son and daughter.
