DHAKA: Law enforcers detained eminent singer Baby Nazneen on Sunday evening when she visited BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan office in the city.

Police barred Nazneen from entering the office around 7:15pm, said a competent source from the BNP chief office.

Baby Nazneen tried to enter the office, but the law enforcers picked her up around 8:10pm and took her to Gulshan Police Station by a microbus.

Nazneen told police: “She (Khaleda) is my mother. I have come to know from media reports that she is starving. So, I have prepared soup for her by myself. Please allow me to visit her.”
