COX’S BAZAR: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members seized a trawler with 80,000 pieces of yaba tablet on Naf’s confluence in Jaliar island area under Teknaf upazila of the district on Monday afternoon.

BGB-42 sources said that on suspicion, BGB personnel signaled some trawler-men to stop in the area around 3:00pm but watching the BGB personnel they jumped off the trawler into the river and fled the scene.

Later, the law enforcers recovered 80,000 yaba tablets from the trawler.

BGB-42 Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Abu Jaar Al Zahid confirmed the matter to banglanews.
