JESSORE: Miscreants chopped a college student to death in front of WAPDA Garage of the district town on Wednesday noon.

The deceased was identified as Loknath, 22, son of Kanai Lal, of Bespara of the town. He was a HSC second-year student of Abdur Razzak Municipal College.

However, one of his friends, Limu, 21, was also injured in the incident that took place around 2:00pm.

Jessore Sadar Model Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Inamul Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Quoting the locals, he said that Loknath and Limu were attacked by three miscreants--Anik, Akram and Rajib—in the afternoon centering previous enmity, left them injured critically.

Later, locals rushed them to Jessore Medical College and Hospital (JMCH) where on-duty doctors declared Loknath dead, the OC added.
