DHAKA: The government will set up an Anti-Terrorism Special Tribunal to try those involved in political violence in the name of hartal-blockade.

Law Minister Advocate Anisul Haque made the disclosure at a press briefing after a meeting the European Union Delegation at his secretariat office Thursday.

The minister also said the trial for violence will be held at additional district and session judge courts till formation of the new tribunal.

A letter has been issued to judges across country to settle the cases of violence on priority basis, he added.
