DHAKA: Fire fighters doused a fire after 20 minutes of fanatic efforts since it broke out at BBC Bangla office on the seventh floor IK Tower at Gulshan-2 of the capital Friday morning.

Deputy assistant director Abdul Halim of Fire Service and Civil Defense confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The security officers of the building said the fire might be originated from an AC machine blast in the building around 8:30am.

Being informed, two fire fighting units from Baridhara and other three units from Headquarters rushed to the spot and doused the fire.

However, there is no report of injury in the incident, Abdul Halim added.
