Arson attack victim dies in DMCH

DHAKA: A bus helper, who sustained burn injuries in an arson attack on February 12, lost his battle for life at the burnt unit of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as M Bappi, 25, son of Dulal Mian of Srirampur village under Mohonganj Upazila of Netrokona district.

Partha Sankar Paul, resident surgeon at the DMCH burn unit, confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Earlier on February 12, Bappi received server burn injuries when miscreants hurled petrol bomb at a running passenger bus in front of Al Razi Islamia Hospital in Banasree area of the city.

Some 70 percent of his body was burnt in the arson attack.
