DHAKA: International Crimes Tribunal-1 on Sunday noon issued arrest warrant against three ‘Razakars’ of Kishoreganj for their alleged in crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War.

The three-member tribunal, headed by Justice M Enayetur Rahim, ordered law enforcers to arrest them in reply to an appeal of prosecution.

The suspected war criminals are: Kishoreganj Razakar commander Gazi Abdul Mannan, Hafiz Uddin and Azharul Islam.

Prosecutor Sultan Mahmud Simon stood for the state during the hearing.

After hearing, Simon told reporters that in primary investigation, evidences were found against the accused of their involvement in crimes against humanity including killing and torturing people, looting and torching houses in Kishoreganj during the 1971 Liberation War.

So, an appeal to ICT was filed seeking its order to arrest the war crimes suspects, he added.
