DHAKA: Five honorary consuls and consul generals for Bangladesh from Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand and Republic of Korea met foreign minister AH Mahmood Ali and state minister for foreign affairs Shahriar Alam on February 20 at foreign ministry in the city.

They are visiting Bangladesh under Familiarization of Bangladesh Program arranged by the foreign ministry’s external publicity wing from 19-24 February.

During the meetings the honorary consuls and consul generals informed the ministers about the prospect of expanding trades and businesses in their respective countries with Bangladesh.

Both the foreign minister and the state minister for foreign affairs requested them to engage more and more for broadening business and other relations between Bangladesh and their respective countries and construct a positive image of Bangladesh to outer world.
