JHENAIDAH: Police recovered two bullet-hit bodies from a field at Defalbari village under Sadar upazila of the district Monday morning.
The deceased were identified as Golam Azam alias Palash, 28, son of BNP leader Mostafa Commissioner and Dulal Hossain, 29, son of Nasim Biswas of Charkhajura village.
Deceased Palash’s younger brother, Mamun, identified the bodies around 8:30pm adding that they have remained missing since Thursday.
Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Kamruzzaman of Jhenaidah Sadar upazila told banglanews that locals spotted the bodies in the area and informed police.
On infromation, police rushed to the spot and sent the bodies to the Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital Morgue for autopsy.
Palash’s father claimed that some plainclothes members of the Detective Branch (DB) of police picked his son from Badarganj Bazar of the Chuadanga Sadar upazila without any allegation against him.
Later, the law enforcers picked up Dulal from Charkhajura village.
Earlier, Palash’s mother filed a General Diary (GD) with Jhenaidah Sadar Thana.
Jhenaidah Superintendent of Police (SP) Altaf Hossain told banglanews that Palash and Dulal might have been killed by miscreants.
