DHAKA: A bus was set afire by alleged hartal and blockade supporters in city’s Kawran Bazar area on Monday.

Duty officer Shahjadi Sultana of Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said the miscreants torched the staff bus while it was parked in front of Petro Bangla Building of the area at noon.

Being informed, a unit of fire service rushed to the spot and doused the fire.

None was reportedly injured in the incident, the officer added.
