DHAKA: A mobile court on Monday fined and jailed 30 brokers for harassing people at Agargaon passport office in city on Monday.

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) started the drive in the area at 12:00 noon and continued till 1:30pm.

Executive Magistrate of the mobile court Anisur Rahman said that the brokers had been conning people for a long. They also harassed people by distributing fake passports.

He also said that each broker was jailed for three months and fined Tk 5,000 in default one more month imprisonment.

A total of 58 fake and legal passports were seized from them.

Moreover, the law enforcers recovered a CPU which was used for making fake passport.

Executive Magistrate Anisur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
