GOPALGANJ: A college student was killed in a road accident in Haridaspur area under Sadar upazila of the district on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Salahuddin Mollah, 18, student of Ideal Commerce College and son of Kashem Mollah of the area.

Police sources said that a rashly driven truck crushed into a motorcycle carrying him in the area around 1:00pm, leaving him dead on the spot.

On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. Later, the body was sent to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital morgue.

Gopalganj Sadar Thana Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Zakir Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
