DHAKA: Naval official Commodore M Mozammel Haque has been made the chairman of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) replacing Dr M Shamsuddoha Khandaker.
Public administration ministry issued a gazette notification to this effect on Tuesday.
However, former deputy inspector general (DIG) of police Shamsuddoha, who made BIWTA chairman on October 9, 2011, will go for LPR (leave prior to retirement) on March 3, sources added.
