BHOLA: Law enforcers recovered a body of an unidentified woman from Meghna River in Killarchar area under Daulatkhan upazila on Wednesday.

Police suspects that the woman might be a victim of the launch, MV Mostafa, capsizal on Paturia-Daulatdia route in the river Padma with over 150 passengers aboard.

Daulatkhan Thana Officer-in-Charge Meer Khairul Kabir confirmed the matter to banglanews.

“We have sent the body to Bhola Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy,” he added.

Earlier in the morning, bodies of seven passengers of MV Mostafa were recovered from Manikganj while another on Tuesday evening.

MV Mostofa, heading for Daulatdia, capsized after being hit by a Baghabari-bound fertilizer-laden cargo Nargis-1 in the middle of the river Padma around 11:45am on Sunday.
