DHAKA: Farabi Shafiur Rahman has admitted his guilt of threatening to kill Blogger and writer Avijit Roy.

He made the confession in primary quizzing of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab).

Rab Media Wing officer Mufti Mahmud Khan made the disclosure in a press briefing at Rab Headquarters Monday.

He said, “Reviewing the Facebook posts-comments, we found Farabi threatening several times to kill Avijit.”

Earlier in the morning, Rab detained militant Farabi from Jatrabari in Dhaka for his suspected involvement in Blogger Abijit Roy killing.

Farabi had been threatening on various social media to kill Avijit Roy.

On last Thursday night, unidentified assailants hacked writer Avijit Roy to death and seriously injured his wife Rafida Ahmed Bonya near TSC intersection at Dhaka University.
