GAIBANDHA: Three persons were killed in excessive drinking of alcohol in Palashbari upazila of Gaibandha.

Sources said one of the victims died at Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital and one at Rangpur Medical College and Hospital in undergoing treatment on Monday early morning while the other died on the spot on Saturday midnight.

The victims included as Mukhlal Das (38), son of Matilal Das of Palashbari, Rabilal Das (35), son of Laxmanlal Das of Bogra and Bhashani Rabidas (40), son of Jagaram Rabidas of Rangpur.

Locals said that the victims met together on Saturday night on the wedding ceremony of Mukhlal Das’s daughter.

They fell sick due to excessive drinking of liquor that left Mukhlal Das dead on the spot.

Palashbari Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Majibur Rahman told banglanews that on information, police were sent to visit the area.
