DHAKA: Law enforcers detained Mashiur Rahman Mamun, a business man for his alleged link with the sensitive phone conversation of Nagorik Oikya Jote Convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna regarding Armed forces.

During the talks, Manna was heard paying heed to pave the way for military intervention in Bangladesh and asking for ‘corpses’ at Dhaka University to shake the government.
Demand of arresting Manna for hatching anti-government conspiracy rose from the ruling party men including that of several cabinet members following the phone conversation leakage.
Two days later, Detective Branch detained Manna from his niece’s house at Banani area of the city on February 24.
